“Trying something completely new was intimidating, especially entering a male dominated sport as a girl after hearing so many stories about gyms not being welcoming to women.”
“Kristian, Dennis, Kyle, Morgan, Craig, and Kanaan all create a supportive environment in which you set the goals and they push you, mentor you, and hold you accountable for them.”
“The instruction was spot on, I had teachers coming up to me suggesting updates to my technique- it felt like I was receiving 1:1 instruction at times.”
“When it got to sparring, I felt motivated and like I was part of the team, the owner, Kristian, made sure of it by reminding everyone there was a guest (thank you).”
“Great place, everyone is so friendly, good level of jujitsu, very clean place with parking space and they're very helpful the people in the front desk and the coaches too.”
From the reviews
Moved to Philly and made it a personal goal to get back into Jiu Jitsu after 3 years off the mats. I've been training at Logic for 6 months and I can't emphasize enough how this has been the best decision I've made in a while.
I attended Logic while traveling for work. My goal was to find a place where I could put real training in for the evening, with invested instruction, at a gym that didn’t make me feel like an outsider. I also wanted a place to spar. Let me start by saying, I plan to go back.
Really nice friendly people and super helpful. I trained in many schools and this is by far my favorite gym.The gym is super clean with nice showers is a huge plus instruction is top notch and overall I just had a lot of fun can’t wait to come back.
No other place of training like it! My children are learning at the same time having a great time with the feeling of belonging to one big family. Especially my son who lives with downs syndrome and autism , Logics has been a place of hope and belonging while learning how to stay fit to defend himself.
Your first muay thai class at Logic Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, & Martial Arts
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
