More Than Just a Workout—A Second Family I’ve been training at Panthera Fighting Arts since the COVID pandemic—over three years now—and I can confidently say it has been life-changing. From the very first class, I was welcomed into a community that is supportive, skilled, and truly inspiring.
This is the best Martial Arts Studio Ive ever had the incredible luck to be apart of. Ive never had a more passionate , skilled and knowledgeable Teacher. The class is also made up of some outstanding souls. Everyone who comes in becomes a fast friend. there's so much to learn from each other and from Sifu Dave.
Been training with Sifu Dave for 3 years & enjoy every moment. My 2 boys train, one in the kids program and the other recently started the adult class.
I started at Panthera about 2 years ago, and I have enjoyed every moment. It's a small school that doesn't use any gimmicks to draw you in, just pure martial arts. If you want to train hard with other good people who train hard, then you should try this school out.
Your first muay thai class at Panthera Fighting Arts
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
