Awesome facility and Dwight's knowledge and attention to detail is impeccable. He is able to use your strengths and weaknesses equally to help you evolve into a well-rounded athlete.
I started to take the Kickboxing at Gold's Gym. I won't lie. It was intense but worth it. I have more tone to my body and feel stronger every class. He is a patient instructor but will challenge you to challenge yourself. It is a fun group environment where you can begin to learn some boxing technique.
Dwight is a great instructor, my husband and I have been taking classes for years and we always learn new things every class, he is very dedicated to making sure we do the right techniques and he always makes sure we enjoy every session. 100% recommend, if you want to learn martial arts the right way.
Never been, but I saw Ge Offs's 1 star and just wanted to say he's a lil B and couldn't hang anyway. "wanted to get started". Well do it fool... Hope this helps.
Your first muay thai class at Q6 Fight: Muay Thai, Kickboxing, USA Boxing and Personal Training
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
