Love the improvements over the years to the courts…you all have made big investments to the space and it’s one of the few places like it on this side of town. Of course this place isn’t perfect… but what place is? Keep up the good work providing a decent service to a very diverse group of people!!!! Ps.
The sports plant has had amazing renovations and is extremely impressive. The volleyball league in the back is the best. Great staff and ownership. Shoutout wasabi lemonade
We had our daughter’s 14th birthday party here and it was amazing! The girls had a blast with sand volleyball! We had the manager Dan to help us he literally came out to our car to help bring in trays of food!
The Sports plant is a great place, we came for an indoor volleyball league and have really enjoyed it. Great service at the bar and great prices. They take excellent care of the place so and it’s always super clean and well run.
Your first muay thai class at The Sports Plant
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
