From the reviews
I have a hectic schedule and we come as often as possible. My kids are avid gamers. They love all the electronics as any kid lol but these classes give my family a sense of balance. Between school, school sports and other activities this is the one where my kids always say they feel most at home.
I outweighed the head coach by 50lbs when we were in highschool and he still beat me up with little effort, but don't worry, I totally had it coming. He's a solid guy in ethics, pragmatism, and fitness. You'll learn a lot about how to conduct yourself inside and outside the ring if you go here.
Coach Evan has been an amazing coach from the time I met him over 5 years ago! He easily switches between teaching the basics to new students( including kids) and works on polishing those with the more experienced students. Have never had nor seen a bad experience happen at his place!!
My kids (13, 8) love taking classes here! My youngest is special needs, and can struggle with group instruction. Evan is a patient and kind instructor who has created an environment that all kids can have fun and learn in. My kids ask everyday if it’s Jiu Jitsu day ♥️
Your first muay thai class at Training Project
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
