From the reviews
After visiting several martial arts schools in the Lake Nona and Kissimmee area, I was blown away by this place. We came in for a free trial class, and from the very beginning my daughter was learning real Muay Thai techniques, including proper kicking, punching, conditioning, and footwork.
Head Coach/Owner is kind but totally on top and on point with his teaching! The place is absolutely beautiful, packed with students, wall full of equipment, bags and a ring. The chairs and tables on the side by the entrance is a perfect spot for parents, prospects and spectators.
This is one of the, if not, the purest Muay Thai schools in central Florida. He not only provides a place to train but a place to meet wonderful likeminded people and to release negative energy. There is nothing like hitting pads to get through a tough day. Master David is not only a good teacher but a great mentor.
Great place to Train Muay-Thai. David is full of knowledge and is one of the Best Instructors for Muay-Thai. The techniques you'll learn in here are like what you'd only find in Thailand.(Clinch, Sweeps, Elbows, Knees etc...) Also a great Vibe and a Family Friendly Gym. Your first week is FREE so come try it out.
Your first muay thai class at Art of Combat Muay Thai
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
