From the reviews
Black Belt America of Rutherford is such an amazing place & experience! My child has been here for 4 years and has come out of her shell. She has built discipline, and physical strength through regular training and it is showing.
My son trained with Mr Jaworski for many years. We were sad when he resigned from our home Academy. He was my son's favourite instructor at the Academy I didn't realize this until he won a competition and was able to chose a free private lesson with an instructor of his choice. My son chose Mr Jaworski.
Mr & Mrs Jaworski are an incredible martial arts team. I worked closely with them for a few years when I was in high school as a martial arts instructor and kickboxing instructor. Mr Jaworski is one of the most patient people I have met and truly cares about each of his students’ progress.
I've been taking kickboxing classes here and I can't recommend it enough! The instructor, Christina, is truly fantastic—so knowledgeable, patient, and motivating. Every class is challenging and fun, which keeps you wanting to push yourself.
Your first muay thai class at Black Belt America of Rutherford
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
