From the reviews
To start, I'm 15 and i've been going to this gym and training for a couple months now. Its been a very enjoyable experience. Mr.Roberts is a very knowledgeable and through instructor. The classes are free and the space which we are training is clean and organized.
Colonial Hills Martial Arts is a great place to learn Jujitsu and kickboxing! You don't need any equipment to join, they have gear and bags. Also, the schedule is really convenient for busy people, twice a week from 6-8, not too late, not too early. And it's all COMPLETELY FREE!
LOVE this place and people. I am so grateful to find a place that is welcoming to all, and you can even train here for free! You can’t ask for more than that. The coach is patient and knowledgeable. You should check it out.
This is a great class for anyone to learn about moves and skills of the trade with great training and better relationships where you learn together. AND ITS FREE.
Your first muay thai class at Colonial Hills BJJ and MMA
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
