From the reviews
Classes here aren't just workouts, but great lessons in the art of fighting. Coaches focus on details and technique, and prioritize safety far more than other gyms in the area. And even so, sparring and constant pressure testing is encouraged here. Their fight philosophies are not rooted in backwards traditions.
The instructors are kind, they motivate you, and are fun to be around. This gym is what you need after a stressful day at work. Come take a class and the stress leaves your body while you enjoy the workout. The instructors are friendly, encouraging, and most of all... They teach you how to improve during every class.
I used to train here at Omnimovement and it was such a great gym to go to. The people you train with and the coaches are some of the best people you’ll meet. They throughly explain everything when it comes to offense or defense, if you’re looking for a great gym this is the place to go.
When I first brought my boys to Omni Movement in Hercules, my older son was dealing with bullying and both of my boys had been through a really hard year. I was hoping martial arts would help—but I never imagined just how much it would change them.
Your first muay thai class at OMNIMOVEMENT
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
