From the reviews
There is no gym to compare this too. Where else will you find teachers, lawyers, and doctors training on the same mats with UFC fighters? I’ll wait….I have been training for over a decade now and I’ve been to many gyms. Team Taino is the best. Come in and see for yourself. You’ll be glad you did.
Our son started here when he was 3 and has been with them for over a year. The confidence and discipline he's gained (along with his absolute love of his coaches and fellow children) has been amazing to watch. The amount of things he's learned from them is astronomical.
I go here. I was looking for a gym that offered Muay Thai. Thankfully I found it! Overall it’s been a great experience.I like that the gym has legitimate fighters ranging from amateur to UFC level, lots of professionals. It’s a great environment, very personable, and family oriented.
Can’t say enough about how happy I am with our decision to join Team Taino. I originally signed my daughter up to help with confidence and within just a few months it helped her tremendously. We eventually signed my other daughter up, and she is absolutely thriving as well!
Your first muay thai class at Team Taino Martial Arts & Fitness
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
