“Also, it really says something about the staff and families that attend that the other kids have given my boys pointers/offered help since they haven’t been going as long.”

From the reviews
Can’t thank the team at Fulcrum enough. Not only do I personally get premier Jiu Jitsu training myself, but this place has become like family to me and my two kids. Every single coach here, starting with professor Evan Barrett, are 100% dedicated to this sport and the students at this academy.
I have trained BJJ at other gyms but chose to enroll my son at Fulcrum because they are best in class working with children. They are patient, enforce good behavior and do a really great job with using words kids can understand when giving instruction.
Joining at Fulcrum was one of the best decisions I have made since moving to Caste Rock. The people here are very welcoming and it is a great community to join. The professors are highly skilled and they teach in a way that helps you grasp even very advanced techniques.
Been at the gym for 8 months. They were very welcoming when I tried it out. The mix of members at the gym are all very nice. The coaches are very knowledgeable and yet laid back and friendly. I like the format of the classes as well! Plan on starting my kids there soon as I like what I see from the kid program.
Your first muay thai class at Fulcrum Jiu Jitsu Academy
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
