From the reviews
I love this gym. I have been coming steadily for two months and I am LOVING my results. Sam makes class fun and he pushes you. I always leave feeling great. Both Sam & Warren are fantastic at helping you if you just ask. All you have to do is how up and be ready to workout and they help you with the rest.
In the realm of martial arts, where discipline meets physical prowess, there exists a haven that transcends conventional expectations – Hard Knox Martial Arts Gym.
Hard Knox is, hands down, the best fitness facility I've ever been apart of. I signed up for the kickboxing classes, but they also offer MMA, boxing, private lessons, etc. I've been a member for over a year and initially signed up to be more fit.
Hard Knox is a legit place to train! Me and my 13 year old son have been training Muay Thai for over a month with Coach Nico, and we have learned a ton from him. He works directly with me and my son, and is an excellent teacher and that will challenge you to the best of your abilities every week.
Your first muay thai class at Hard Knox Martial Arts Academy
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
