From the reviews
This is a great gym. For both kids and a adults. The head instructor for the Muay Thai class is Jason, who has a great sense of humor and is good with kids and anyone in general. The jiu jitsu is taught by the Garcia brothers, who are very good at explaining instructions so you can become better in your Jits.
I've been training kickboxing & Muay Thai here for almost 2 years. Under coach Trey I'm currently 2-0 in IKF PMT. The knowledge and coaching is very next level & technical. Great atmosphere. The owners are really great people as well. From fitness boot camp classes, to striking & no gi grappling this place has it all.
I honestly live that gym. Great place to be with good people. Always positive vibes around that place. Coaches are awesome from boxing to mauy thai to boot camp. Kids enjoys their classes. I suggest that more people come check it out. You'll enjoy it, trusts me.
Great place for the entire family! Whether that is finding a place to get fit and workout, or learn a specific skill, such as BJJ, this place is GREAT!
Your first muay thai class at RISE MMA and Fitness
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
