From the reviews
This place is much more than just a regular MMA gym, coaches treat you as if you are family and you can tell how they actually care about their students. I’ve trained at a few different gyms and never felt that type of “home” feeling anywhere else. Rock MMA is the place to be/train.
Great, family gym with positive environment 100% of the time. From day 1 they made me feel like part of the family and the training is great. I do boxing and the fitness/bootcamp classes and I've never been in better shape (: Love the coaches and if I could I'd give 6/5 stars! Highly suggest you sign up!!!!!
Rock MMA really pushes you to be in the best shape you can be. The coaches and students really care about your success and always give you encouragement. The atmosphere is great and everybody is like a big family. Just started a couple of weeks ago and I'm starting to see the difference in both, body and energy.
I have been training with Coach Carl for around 6-7 months now, and I have had an amazing experience. Coach Carl is very very Very skilled in MMA and is an AMAZING teacher.
Your first muay thai class at Rock MMA
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
