“I cannot express how amazing Professor Joe and Professor Jason are, along with the coaches. My daughters have gained a great deal of experience training here!”
“I love the fact that they really prioritize welcoming everybody and making everyone feel comfortable as well as how many people there are to train with.”
“but they cater a lot to the high spenders at the gym which took the "we're a family" dynamic out for me because you see through the curtains once you stay here for a while.”
“My husband and daughter train in Jiu Jitsu, and I survive each Kickboxing class appreciating the techniques and skills Professor Jason teaches.”

From the reviews
I moved to Houston pretty recently from another State and I went around trying a list of gyms. The reason I ended up at TX 3rd Coast MMA is because they care. Many of the other gyms just wanted my money and didn't care about us personally.
I have been training at TX 3rd Coast MMA for a little over 5 years now and I can not recommend this place enough. The instructors here are knowledgeable and passionate about what they do and it reflects on the quality of class they teach and how they treat their students.
Tx 3rd Coast MMA is the best of the best! I cannot express how amazing Professor Joe and Professor Jason are, along with the coaches. My daughters have gained a great deal of experience training here! The kids absolutely adore them!
My daughter has been attending this gym for over a year now and we are so happy with the amazing professors, the wonderful coaches, the excellent staff, and the other members that also attend. The gym is an open area and the staff keeps this place very clean.
Your first muay thai class at TX 3RD COAST MMA
Nervous about walking into a muay thai gym for the first time? Almost everyone is, and good coaches expect beginners to come through the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: a typical first class is a warm-up, then drilling the basics on pads and bags — not fighting. Rest whenever you need to; no one will bat an eye. What to wear: shorts or athletic wear and a t-shirt; you'll train barefoot on the mats. What to bring: water and hand wraps if you have them — many gyms lend gloves for a first class, so it's worth asking when you call. As you keep training you'll add your own gloves, wraps, a mouthguard, and shin guards. Sparring is optional and comes later, once your fundamentals are solid. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign a waiver and meet the coach. It gets easier fast — most people feel far more at home by their third class.
